We are ecstatic that our gym has grown in size and we want to make sure there are no parking issues. We have adjusted the schedule and added10 minute breaks between classes to allow groups to leave before others arrive. We also want to encourage you to drop off your child(ren) but please, try not to block the traffic!

Observation: one parent per child!

Thank you!

Hello Parents of Pre-School Students!

As we said in our previous emails, all preschool classes (Parent & Tot, Tiny Tots, Super Tots and Super Stars) are starting on June 1st.

We are excited to see our youngest ones in the gym again. Our 1st stage of reopening is going well, and we are all diligently working on keeping social distance, keep the gym clean and everyone safe.

Once we start our classes we will have to space them out a little so coaches would have time to clean. Please look at the ADJUSTED SCHEDULE  (click on the link) to know when to come. The class your child is in is either kept at the same time, or pushed back by 5-10 minutes, so we hope this will not cause any conflicts with your schedule.

If you have been on Option 2 or 3 we have saved your spot. However, if you still do not feel comfortable rejoining, please let us know and we can freeze your account and stop charging you, however, you would possibly lose your spot on that particular class. Regarding your credit, it will still be there whenever you return. The credit paid can also be used for any child in your family, any program, b-parties, camps, private classes or any purchase at our pro-shop.

As you all know we have closed on March 16th due to CORONA virus and if you paid full tuition in March, we owe you two (2) classes.

By our gym calendar the June session supposed to start on June 3rd, but due to the closing of two months, we have decided to start pre-school program earlier, on June 1st. With this being said, Monday and Tuesday students will receive 5 classes instead of four in June and for that reason one of those will be considered a MAKE UP class. The second make up will not expire as long as you are an active member of Brown’s so you do not have to rush to schedule it.

What procedures we are taking to keep your kids safe?

We sent an email previously explaining procedures, but here it is again:

A NEW WAIVER & QUESTIONNAIRE – all parents must sign additional waiver and questionnaire. Your child will not be allowed at the class if you have not submitted these!

Observation: One parent (or one non-participating individual) per child is allowed in the facility, but are asked to avoid coming in to avoid increasing the risk of spreading the virus. Our observation areas are limited and only 8 parents are permitted at a time in the upstairs observation room; only 4 at the time in toddler’s room and only 12 parents in the gym observation area. As always, parents of team and recreational students are only allowed in the upstairs observation area. To be considerate of others, we ask team parents not to come and watch every practice or stay longer than 30-45 minutes.

  • All adults, including instructors in the facility must wear masks and must keep social distancing of 6 ft.
  • Markings are placed on the floor in the lobby and the gym areas. Students are not required to wear masks but are welcome to do so.
  • Instructors of pre-school classes do not have to wear mask during the class but must try to keep an adequate social distance!
  • Student who are coming in barefoot will not be allowed in the building
  • Touch-less temperature check for every person entering the building
  • Students must wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon their arrival and after each event
  • Coaches will be required to wash hands before and after every class (or every hour if coaching team).
  • No Spotting! Coaches are not allowed to touch students while in this stage of opening. They will use different methods of teaching (breaking the skill apart and setting up the drills).
  • Coaches will make sure to wash mats/equipment after every class with water and soap
  • The communal drinking fountains will be closed. Students must bring their own water bottle marked with their initials.
  • Students will not be allowed any contact with each other

Drop Off & Pick Up policy (If you do not want to enter the facility) For your own safety (as many parents have asked) we are adjusting Pick Up Policy. The drop off is same: someone will be at the door helping you out and making sure your child makes it to the class. For pick up, we have arranged with our Staff to help you out so you do not have to come out of your car and inside the building. At the end of the class we will have 3 of our staff members on 3 different doors with kids lined up behind them. When you come to our parking lot you do not need to park; just circle around and wave to our Staff so they can release your child. We hope this procedure would be much safer and easier for you.

Please be patient and help us make this process smooth and easy. We appreciate your cooperation!

Cost of Classes: In January 2020 we have implemented a small increase in tuition making sure we are still one of the most affordable gymnastics schools around. All our members at that time had been grandfathered the old prices till June of 2020. So, if you are one of those who had been with us longer than 6 months, please expect to see 1-2% increase in tuition (all except Gymnastics Teams). Along with that, we have changed our policy and there will be NO MORE discounts on advanced payments for 3, 6 or 12 months. This last policy applies to our teams too!

Summer CAMP registration is OPEN! Hurry, to register as enrollment is limited!

If you have any questions, please feel free to emails us back!

Dear Brown’s Customers!
We hope you are all well and healthy! As of now, there are no classes and no final date of reopening Brown’s. We are hoping to start slowly getting back to some classes in several weeks and will keep you posted! Brown’s Staff are all healthy, but terribly missing your children and would like to say hello on Monday, May 4th. Please, if you have time, pass by our gym between 4:00-4:30 PM as our coaches will be out to wave back and share their smiles with your kids.
Regarding payments, we are going to continue to charge you according to the plan you chose. Remember, if you chose Option 1 to drop, no charges will come and you will lose your spot. No make ups for 2 classes in March will be permitted until you rejoin. If you chose Option 2, you will be charged only $40 ($55 if you have 2 kids) and this payment will secure your child’s spot in class, plus, it will be applied to your future membership. Once we reopen your regular monthly charges will start and you will be able to schedule 2 make ups for March. If you chose Option 3, we thank you for your great support! Your tuition that was paid for April and now for May, will be applied to the months when we reopen.
If you have chosen Option 3, but decided to drop in the mean time, you will still have credit with us for one month, but will lose your spot. Upon your return, you will have to re-register and take whatever class is available at that time. Money paid is not refundable, but the credit can be used for any program, camp, pro-shop or b-party.

The annual event Rainbow Classic originally planned to be held on May 16th will be rescheduled. The date will be determined once our classes start again . If you have registered and paid for this event and want to drop, we will issue you a full refund minus $25 for the leotard if received. Please let us know via email if you want to drop from this event. Our Rainbow routines are very simple and we are pretty sure 1.5-2 month will be sufficient to master them all. We have posted on our Facebook page some of beam and floor routines so that your girls can practice at home.

Virtual classes: While your kids are stuck at home, full of energy, here is another way of keeping them busy

Our Team and Pre-team have regular virtual classes with Coach Chris and that seems to be working great. If you are taking these classes, please give us a feedback. If your child is on team or pre-team, we will be sending another email to you soon…

Now, we are starting recreational Virtual Classes with Coach Nina.  Miss Nina is willing to teach virtual recreational classes and anybody can join. She will be hosting Zoom sessions once per week (Tuesdays at 1PM) that will include stretch and conditioning and also teach 1-3 skills per session. These virtual lessons will at first be designed for Level 1-4 and depending on number of gymnasts interested we may split it and host separate lessons for Level 1-2 and also Level 3-4. The classes will be up to 45 minutes long. These lessons are only $5/session and you may make payment directly to Coach Nina via Venmo. Please email us if you are interested to register and Miss Nina will be contacting you.

Please, email us if you have any question and stay healthy!

Hello Brown’s Gym Orbit Families,

As you might imagine, we continue to follow the COVID-19 situation closely, as new information develops each day. Our priority continues to be the health, safety, and well-being of everyone connected to our program.

Where we are now?

The need to close for an extended period without much notice or time to prepare was, and still is, a shock. Only a couple of weeks ago, it would have been almost impossible to comprehend the challenges we all currently facing.

We believe the difficult but necessary decision to close Brown’s Gym when we did will have a direct and meaningful impact not just on our students, families, and coaches, but our entire community.

Even though we could not have predicted all of this, we will proceed in the same manner that we have built Brown’s Gym Orbit over the past decade. We will continue to be accommodating, honest, fulfill our commitments, adapt, and provide support for our students, families, and coaches.

While there are many things we don’t know yet, such as when we will be able to safely reopen, the one thing you can count on is that Brown’s Gym Orbit will be back, and better than ever!

We have built a strong foundation and have a solid team of dedicated coaches who are committed to positively impacting the lives of children. Besides this closure directly impacting their livelihood, our instructors also care about the kiddos; we already miss our students! We went from having the best possible “job” in the world to suddenly not being able to do what we are passionate about, and contribute with purpose to our community.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and compassion; it has mean’t more than we can adequately express.

What we are working on?

As we learned more this weekend about the extent of the impact of COVID-19 on everyone, we have been brainstorming, looking for creative ideas that will allow us to fulfill our commitments, be generous with the families who choose to continue to support us, and make it feasible to provide as much as possible for our amazing team of coaches during this unsettling time.

We’re turning lemons into lemonade by using the unexpected downtime to work on education, administrative, construction, and cleaning projects.

It’s clear that the timeline for the current situation is shifting and requires us to be nimble. We know that uncertainty is stressful for everyone involved, so we’ve been working on a financial plan that is both transparent and flexible in accommodating the different needs of all our families.

What are your options?

1. Drop for April and lose your spot – no make ups for March. However, you will receive 2 make ups for March, once you rejoin the program. These make ups will not expire after 30 days. If you have already paid for April or any other upcoming month – you will receive a full refund.

We are still hopeful the Rainbow Classic in May will be held as previously planned. However, if you are dropping from program and want to cancel the annual event too, you would be refunded the full amount minus $25 for the leotard received.

2. Pay only $40-$55 and keep your spot. This payment will be credited for your annual registration renewals for as many years as you pay this fee monthly. Make ups (for non-competitive programs) for the missed classes in the month of March will be allowed. Free open gyms for as many months.

3. Pay full tuition each month and get as many free months once we reopen. Make ups (for non-competitive programs) for the missed classes in the month of March will be allowed.

We appreciate you sticking with us through the unknown and want to thank you in a meaningful way.

Each family who chooses to hang tight with Brown’s Gym Orbit during the closure will benefit, and that support provides Brown’s Gym Orbit time to adjust to our new reality. Of course, no one wants Brown’s Gym Orbit to be closed, but the longer our families ride this wave with us, the bigger their reward!

After-school Pick Up Program Options

  1. Drop til March 24th with no any extra charges. With this option you will lose your spot.
  2. Pay regular weekly fee on or by March 24th and save your spot. With this advanced fee you are covering 1st week of after school pick up when we re-open. If the school does not reopen by the end of the school year, you may use this amount for next school year, or you can request a refund. If you pay and decide to drop after March 24th, or you decide not to have the kids participate that 1st week of school, the fee is not refundable and not transferable.

Please, email us with your choice.

Additional details to consider

Please note that if you choose to drop from classes, your child’s spot will be open to another student, and when re-enrolling, your preferred class may be full.

A full payment for the closed months will extend as long as we need to remain closed. We are following the most cautious guidelines, since protecting all who enter our doors is our priority. We will reopen when appropriate, and it is safe, but not sooner.

Credits on family accounts at Brown’s Gym Orbit are transferable, never expire and are valid for any of our services, including classes, camps, open gym, birthday parties, special events, private lessons, and pro-shop items.

The bottom line

We understand this is an anxious time for our students, parents, and community. We respect that everyone has to make decisions that fit the needs of their family.

I personally also believe that loyalty to those who support local small businesses during challenging times should be rewarded, and extending our service is the best incentive I can offer.

Your feedback (and any other creative ideas you might have) are eagerly welcomed. Let’s support each other like the tough, resourceful, caring humans we all are.

We look forward to once again being able to provide a safe, fun, and productive gymnastics experience! As always, if you have any questions or if there is anything we may do to assist, please reach out.

Thank you,

Dragana Dosen & Cedomir Vragovic

Owners and Program Directors

Let’s work together to find solutions and serve our community!

Update 3/16/2020 7:30pm

Previous Post 3/14/2020

Dear Parents

We have been closely monitoring the local and national media news and are paying attention to the health authorities’ guidance regarding epidemic. Servicing many local families, Brown’s Gym Orbit goal is children’s health and well being and we recognize the seriousness of this challenging time. We are consulting with local and nationwide gym owners and officials on how to approach and go about this situation.

Our gym is currently on Spring break and as previously planned there is no classes till March 22nd. After much thoughts and consideration, for the safety of our community, we have decided to cancel the classes til March 30th. We will be using this time to extra clean and completely disinfect the gym as we are committed to providing safe environment to our students, parents and Staff.

For your information, our gym is professionally cleaned every night, which includes deep cleaning and sanitization. Additional focus has been placed on high use areas and surfaces. We have sanitization stations throughout the gym and cleaning supplies onsite that staff use to do additional disinfection throughout the day. All props and materials used for gymnastics classes, Preschool Play, and camps are cleaned and disinfected regularly. For your information, Brown’s gym uses two cleaning companies daily and one of them, Enviro-Master, provides hospital grade disinfecting.

We understand this is an unprecedented situation that puts strains on all of us. However, we think it is of crucial importance to be disciplined and prevent worsening of situation at this beginning faze. For now, we can promise providing make ups for missed classes due to this issue as long as you are registered with Brown’s. We hope the situation would normalize soon and we would see all of you in the gym soon!

We have also decided to keep our camps going. However, due to a state of health emergency, the camps may be canceled last minute. Please, be prepared!

Our management will be closely monitoring this ever-changing Covid-19 situation and will continue to provide updates daily.

Please stay tuned and check our Facebook page and your emails regularly.

As always, dedicated to you!

Brown’s Management
