About Us

 

Brown’s Gymnastics, founded over three decades ago in Gainesville, FL, relocated to Orlando in 1980, and expanded to Houston and Las Vegas in 1994. Known for its excellent recreational and competitive programs, Brown’s produced over 100 National and International-level gymnasts, including Olympians Brandy Johnson, Wendy Bruce, and Eileen Diaz. Nearly 100 athletes secured college scholarships.

In 2012, Brown’s became Brown’s Gym Orbit, continuing its legacy with expanded programs in karate, ninja training, and afterschool activities.

Under new ownership in 2022, Brown’s Gym Orbit introduced innovative systems and enhancements, maintaining its reputation for excellence in gymnastics and beyond.

I began working in customer service at 14 years old. My journey with Browns began in August of 2017. I have learned all I know about gymnastics through the knowledge of the staff and professionals that I work with. I also took time to educate myself through USAG courses online. I have a love for what I do. Watching the children enjoy coming to a program they enjoy brightens my day

I am a dental assistant with expanded duties, a professional nail technician, and a passionate Zumba instructor. Since childhood, I’ve loved dancing and modeling, even joining my university’s dance team. Currently, I’m part of the reception team at Brown’s Gym Orbit, where I enjoy interacting with our valued members daily. Being part of this wonderful community inspires me to grow and feel truly fulfilled as part of the Brown’s Gym family.

I have coached at Brown’s for 20 years and been involved in gymnastics for over 30. As a former competitive gymnast, I understand the sport’s physical and mental demands. My goal is to foster self-confidence, hard work, and dedication in young athletes, helping them fall in love with gymnastics while learning valuable life lessons—key reasons I continue to enjoy coaching.

 I’ve been coaching gymnastics since 15, sharing my passion and helping athletes build skills and confidence. In 2023, I earned a degree in Elementary Education and now teach first grade. Whether in the gym or classroom, coaching and teaching are my true passions. I love helping others reach their potential, and my greatest reward is seeing my students succeed in gymnastics and life.

I started gymnastics at Browns at age six, progressing from Level 1 to Level 4 by age 11 with Coach Buffy. Later, I transitioned to Excel and reached the Platinum level. Although an injury ended my competitive career, my passion for gymnastics remains strong. Now, I dedicate myself to inspiring and teaching the next generation of gymnasts, fostering their love for the sport that has given me so much.

Alejandro Alvarez

Alejandro Alvarez

I am a boy’s gymnastics and after school coach. I have been coaching boy’s gymnastics and ninja  for almost 2 and a half years, I have been coaching boy’s gymnastics for almost 2 and a half years. I played baseball for 8 years and now I play basketball at Lake Brantley High School. I enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing and playing pickleball. I love coming every day to coach the kids and make an impact on their lives that they may take into their future.

Brad Golden

a skilled gymnastics coach, returned to Brown’s in September 2023 to lead the Xcel team. A former gymnast at Brown’s since age six, Bradley competed at state, regional, and national levels. He graduated from Michigan State University with a scholarship, excelling in NCAA Division 1 Gymnastics, earning multiple records and All-American titles. Combining coaching with chiropractic care since 2013, Bradley is eager to inspire and guide new generations at Brown’s with his expertise and passion.

Ann Tylor

Ann Tylor

Ann Taylor began gymnastics at 16, competing until 1997. She coached at the YMCA in Lacrosse, Orlando Metro, and later at Brown’s Gymnastics, pausing briefly to earn an MBA. Ann also taught diving at the University of Wisconsin. Beyond gymnastics, she is a nationally certified Special Education teacher for the deaf and has worked in public schools in Wisconsin and Florida since 1997, blending her passion for education with her extensive athletic experience.

I have been coaching at BGO for about 5 years. Before I started coaching, I was a gymnast for 10 years. I also did dance for 4 years when competing in competitive gymnastics. Gymnastics has always been a passion of mine, that’s why I knew this would be the perfect career choice for me!!

Siobhan Robinson

Siobhan Robinson

Coach Siobhan has over 20 years of experience training young athletes in gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance, helping them develop strength, flexibility, and confidence. A former competitive gymnast and cheerleader, she brings valuable personal experience to her coaching. Known for her high-energy style, Coach Siobhan creates programs that push athletes to reach their potential in a supportive yet challenging environment. Her students have achieved success at both local and national levels, believing that good practice builds solid habits and drives real progress.

Juan Carlos Quintero

I began my karate journey at the age of 10 with the Ryobukai Venezuela organization, under the guidance of Sensei Johnny Aguilar. I hold a 2nd Dan black belt with my organization, as well as a 1st Dan from the Venezuelan Karate Federation (FVKD). With 35 years of experience in this martial art, I have achieved the title of federate champion and have won multiple national and international championships.  At Brown’s Gym Dojo, my mission is to teach authentic karate with a foundation of discipline, respect, and a strong desire for personal growth. I prioritize instilling principles and values in my students.

I’ve been coaching for just over a year, with experience in recreational gymnastics for boys and girls, preteam, Excel, and preschool classes. Despite my short coaching career, I have over 12 years of experience as a gymnast, competing up to level 7 before an injury stopped me from advancing to level 8. I plan to stay with BGO for many years, even while attending law school. In my time here, I’ve learned a lot about myself and my coaching style and look forward to continuing my growth.

I have average experience in gymnastics, but I got the chance to coach for the past year, helping others develop their skills in strength, flexibility, and technique. Alongside gymnastics, I have experience in volleyball, which has enhanced my teamwork and agility. My interests extend beyond sports, including staying active and continuously learning in both athletics and other areas of personal growth. Coaching has really helped me learn more about myself and my passion for sports, allowing me to share my knowledge and inspire others.

I’ve been training in gymnastics for 4 months, and it’s been an incredible journey. While I haven’t competed in gymnastics, my 10 years of playing softball give me a unique perspective in teaching. I work with Tiny Tots, Super Tots, and Level One athletes, helping them build skills and confidence. I also attend SSC to pursue my educational interests. In my free time, I love staying active and exploring new activities. Gymnastics allows me to inspire new athletes while combining my passion for sports.

Running and working out are activities I love, and I strive to become the best version of myself each day. I grew up in Longwood, FL, where I started gymnastics at Brown’s Gymnastics. In high school, I also participated in cheerleading, track, and competitive weightlifting at Lake Brantley High School. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science and Physiology at Florida Atlantic University, with plans to graduate in 2026. At Brown’s, my goal is to create a fun, safe environment where athletes can develop their skills, self-confidence, and reach their full potential.

I’ve been coaching at Browns for four years. My goal at Browns is to make kids excited and passionate about gymnastics. I want to see them succeed and be proud when they do so. While coaching, I use my knowledge and experience from cheerleading. I participated in that for about 9 years. This helped making me confident in my coaching abilities. Currently I am studying health science at Florida Atlantic University. After completing my degree I plan to attend graduate school to become a speech pathologist.
